Do I receive a certificate after completing a course?
No. Deliberately so.
The College exists for people who want to learn because they care about understanding the world more deeply, not because they need another credential. We believe education has become overly organised around proving that you've learned, rather than the learning itself. Here, your reward is the thinking, the community, the conversations, and the transformation that happens along the way.
Is The College an accredited institution?
No. The College is an independent educational initiative, not a government-accredited university or higher education provider.
However, our courses are designed and taught by academics, researchers, scholars, and experienced industry practitioners who are actively working in their respective fields.
Our focus is intellectual rigour without the institutional bureaucracy.
Who are these courses for?
Anyone who misses learning for its own sake.
Whether you're a working professional, creative, entrepreneur, researcher, student, or simply someone who has always wanted to study the humanities but never found the time or justification, our courses are designed to fit around full-time work while remaining academically serious.
Curiosity is the only prerequisite.
How are these courses different from online courses?
Most online courses optimise for information transfer. We're here for intellectual formation.
Rather than simply consuming content, you'll engage with ideas through lectures, readings, discussions, and guided reflection. The goal isn't to finish a syllabus as quickly as possible, but to leave thinking differently than when you arrived.
How much time should I expect to commit?
Our courses are intentionally condensed to fit around a full-time working schedule.
Expect one live class each week, alongside optional readings and reflection exercises. Those who wish to go deeper will always find more to explore, but the core workload is designed to be manageable alongside work and life.
Will there be assignments or exams?
There are no grades or examinations.
Some courses may include optional writing prompts, discussion questions, creative exercises, or personal reflections to deepen your understanding, but these exist to enrich learning rather than evaluate performance.
What if I have no background in the subject?
That's completely fine.
Our courses assume curiosity, not expertise. We introduce foundational ideas while gradually moving into more complex discussions, making them accessible without compromising intellectual depth.
Who teaches the courses?
Our faculty includes academics, researchers, authors, artists, policy practitioners, and industry experts who care deeply about making knowledge accessible without oversimplifying it.

Why only six weeks?
We believe meaningful learning doesn't have to require years of full-time study.
Each course is designed as an intellectually substantial introduction to a topic, giving you enough depth to genuinely understand its foundations while fitting into the rhythm of everyday life. Think of it as an invitation into a discipline rather than a complete degree.
Can I take more than one course?
Absolutely.
Many of our courses are designed to complement one another across philosophy, sociology, psychology, culture, politics, literature, technology, and the arts. You're welcome to build your own intellectual journey over time.
